The Women’s team from Rugby & Northampton competed at Burton Dassett Hills Country Park in Division One of the Midland Women’s Cross Country League.
Eighteen year old Madeleine Jacks had her best run in the league to finish 18th in 30:33 and this placed her fourth in the U20 race, but clinched third spot in the final league table. Veteran Lorna Hession was 48th in 32:57 for 17th spot in her category and was followed by fellow Masters athlete Kat Hemmington in 53rd with 33:11 (20th veteran). Completing the team, which finished 10th was Tilly Lea in 63rd (33:32). This ensured a third season in Division one next year.
Beckee Everitt was 79th in 34:46 and Lorna Latimer completed the Masters team in 83rd on 35:12 to put them in 8th spot. Jemima Lambert was 18th in the Junior section on 35:26 (86th overall) and also supporting the club were veterans Sophie Wilkinson-Hargate (93rd in 35:59), Courtney Depala (111th in 37:48), Lyndsey Owen (123rd in 39:18), Helen Jones (137th in 42:20) and Minerva Chesser (152nd in 45:09).
