Men’s Running Group : Rugby
The men’s running group is part of Rugby and Northampton AC and was formed in spring 2014. The group aims to encourage and support men of all ages, from complete beginners to intermediate runners to run together, get fitter and get to know other runners.
Beginners group – Twice a year we run a course that provides support to men who are new to, or returning to running. Over 16 weeks the well tested programme develops running fitness, stamina and confidence in easy stages. The group meets twice weekly for varied, structured sessions led by UKA qualified coaches. At the end of the course runners are ready to take part in one of the club’s 5k fun-runs, or a Park Run event in Coventry or Leamington.
The next men’s beginners group will start in February 2016.

Development groups - We provide a development schedule for those wishing to improve their speed and confidence over 5k, and a gradual step-up schedule for those wishing to tackle 10K runs or longer distances.
We run twice-weekly coach-supported sessions weekly for these groups, and runners self- organise for a third session if they wish.
New members who can run 5K and wish to improve are most welcome to joint these groups.
