Our junior club train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and on between Sundays 9.30am to 12 noon. Additional training for specific disciplines is by invitation. Age 8+
New to athletics and aged between 8 and 12?
We like to run induction or trial sessions for our new juniors and these take place either separately to the normal training night at a weekend or as part of a session during the week. Upon completion of the induction/trial, we would hope to be able to offer you a place in the Club and would then expect you to take up full membership.
New junior athletes aged 12+
For older athletes or athletes of known ability we will place you in a suitable squad on one of the Tuesday or Thursday training sessions and after a trial session, we would require you to join as a full member. There are training squads for each of the athletic disciplines as well as a combined event squad, undertaking all athletic disciplines for those that have an all round ability.
What happens next?
Once your induction or trial sessions are completed we hope to offer you a place in one of our training squads on a Tuesday and Thursday night.
At your first trial/induction session, we will require a completed medical form for the athlete and then a completed membership form and payment before continuing thereafter. You will be introduced to your new coaching team and your fellow squad members.
