The Rugby & Northampton AC Ladies claimed a magnificent victory in the third staging of the Wilne 10k.

In a field of over 800 runners Emily Waugh led home the winning team in 98th place overall, which placed her 8th in the Ladies event. Her time of 38 mins 24 secs was a lifetime best by half a minute.

The Derbyshire race also incorporated the Midland Champs and Waugh just missed out on a medal in 4th spot. Jo Pulsford was the next lady home for the club in 15th position on 40.13 and this gave her 6th in the Midland Champs.
Closing off the team was Daisy Melville who set a personal best of 40.42 in finishing 17th .
