Rugby & Northampton AC youngsters started their cross country season in fine style in the first match of the West Midlands League held at the Walsall Arboretum. Overall the club finished in an excellent position – just being pipped by a strong Wolverhampton team.
Individually there were race victories for Bella Lamb in the U11 girls race and Olivia McGhee in the U15 girls race. There were also podium finishes for David Allen and Alexander Kampta in the U11 boys race and Jessica Lamb in the U13 girls race.
Teams wise, there were team victories for the U11 boys, U13 girls, U15 girls and the finally the U17 men – with the R & N athletes dominating with no less than 5 athletes in the top 11 places. An excellent start to the cross-country season
