Rugby and Northampton Athletics Club took part in the second West Midlands Young Athletes Cross Country League and continued their magnificent form on 2021 to maintain their unbeaten league run with another overall victory. The U11 boys saw David Allen finish in 4th position with Harvey Woods just behind in 8th. For the U11 girls, Elsie Bennett timed her finish perfectly to claim 3rd position with Amelie Heron close behind in 8th position. Abbas Hazra was the leading U13 boy in 13th position whilst the U13 girls team really shone. Individually, Olivia McGhee led from gun to tape to take a fantastic victory and she was supported by Claudia Terrel, Joanna Mulreany, Esther and Merryn Hutchins-Morant to claim team victory.
Arthur Tilt stormed to 2nd position in the U15 boys race as Ella Darby led the way for the U15 girls in 4th position – a team which saw Rebecca Eaton, Jemima Cooper, Sophie Hancock, Ava Rogerson and Amelie Budd Beynon finish 6 runners in the first 24 positions.
The U17 girls were led home by Madeleine Jacks in 5th position – a position equalled by Dominic Evans in the U17 boys race.
