VITALITY LONDON 10K

Angela Copson BEM set her 35^th European Masters record when she competed in the Vitality London 10k.

In winning the W70 category, Copson knocked 39 secs from the 13 year old record of Louise Gilchrist with a gun time of 45 mins 11 secs.

The Rugby & Northampton athlete has now broken a British Record in three different distances for her age group so far in 2017 with one of them being a World best.

Five of her clubmates were also taking part with Zoe Shepherd leading them home with 44:22 (1305^th), then Copson (1434^th), followed by Helen Jones ( 1779^th) in 46:19, which placed her 20^th W50.

Minerva Chesser ( 2292^nd) recorded 48:19 for 45^th in the over 40 category and Kate Williams (2929^th) was 15^th W55 in 50:17.

Completing the squad was Rebecca Hutson (8380^th) in 64:31 ( W40  380^th).
