Emily Waugh of Rugby & Northampton AC made it four wins in a row at the Rugby 6 miles and helped the Senior Ladies team to victory in this second race of the East Midlands Grand Prix.
Waugh sealed top spot in the ladies race by over a minute in a time of 37 mins 31 secs to add to her three previous victories since 2013 and had back up from Vicky Nealon in 5th place with 40:24 and Veteran Angela Copson in 43:22 for 12th spot.
For Copson it was enough to win the F65 race as she prepares to travel to Portugal for her first ever European Masters 10k road Champs.
Lorna Latimer was one place behind on 44:25, but it was Kate Williams and Helen Jones that closed out the Veteran team in 5th position with Williams finishing 2nd in the F55 category on 46:52 and Jones with 47:28 (6th F45 ).
The host club made it a double when the R&N Senior Men took first place and were led home by Stephen Marks in 6th place on 33:49 to add his name to the Tony Hetherington Memorial Trophy.
Daniel Mould finished 7th with 34:16 and was followed by two club veterans with Paul Birch clinching 16th spot on 35:58 for 3rd in the M40 competition and Brendan Moen in 19th with 36:16 (5th M45 ).
Three seconds and one place behind Moen was Daniel Williams and chasing him home was the first U20 man Joseph Childs with a superb run of 36:34.
The Veteran men’s team finished in 2nd place and joining Birch and Moen in the squad were Terry Egan in 29th overall on 37:05, which placed him 2nd M55 and Nigel Roberts on 38:08 (M45 10th ).
