R & N athletic club took part in the annual national cross country relays championships over a rain sodden parkland course in Mansfield.
The U13 boys started proceeding with Miles Taylor recording the fastest R & N time of the day as the team finished in 37th position. The U13 girls finished in an outstanding 26th position with Bella Lamb scorching around the 2km course to record one of the fastest times of the day. The U15 boys team did really well to finish in 36th position with Jack Twining the leading R & N athlete.
The U15 produced the outstanding team performance of the day to claim 11th position, with Olivia McGhee claiming over 20 places on the final leg as she ran the second fastest time of all athletes. The U17 finished in 31st position with Malachi Collins claiming the fastest R & N leg of the day. The U20W finished in 36th position with Madeleine Jacks the fastest for R & N.
The U20M fielded two teams with the A team finishing an outstanding 15th position, with Noah Bennet, Finlay Ward and Joe Comerford all running really strongly. The final race of the day saw Josh Lay lead off for R & N, finishing in an outstanding 6th position on the opening leg – the team finally finished in 72 nd place
