The ladies were competing in Division One of the Midland Womens League and the first athlete for R&N was veteran Lorna Hession who covered the 6k course in 28:53 to finish in 61st spot. She was followed by two other veterans with Lorna Latimer (101st in 31:16) and Zoe Shepherd (113th in 32:13). This gave the Masters team an 8th place finish. Elspeth Unitt finished one place higher than in the previous race (116th) and was 19th in the Junior section on 32:40. The club finished 18th on the day in this third round. Zoe Tildesley crossed the line in 130th on 33:42 and the squad was completed by a quartet of veterans with Helen Jones (134th in 33:53), Angela Copson BEM (155th in 36:01), Minerva Chesser (164th in 36:52) and Tricia Garner (175th in 38:37).
The Ladies will need a stronger team in the final fixture at Burton Dassett Country Park on 11th February to keep out of a relegation battle and maintain their status in the top Division.
