Emma is one of our best senior athletes & competes in 100, 200, relay & 400H (& wins). She has also been county & Midlands champion on several occasions. Although she now lives in Cardiff after a long spell at Loughborough university she is actually a Northampton girl.
Soon after winning this years Midlands championship she was diagnosed with a rare liver condition but still competed & won 3 events in the Midland league at rugby in July. Shortly afterwards she was taken ill in Portugal whilst working with the Welsh commonwealth games team at a training camp.
She required an emergency liver transplant & spent many weeks in hospital there & in the UK. She is now getting back to training & has been selected to represent UK in the world transplant games in Argentina next year.
