Rugby & Northampton AC senior men took to the final race of the Birmingham League series with a strong team of endurance runners. The race held at Redditch saw challenging conditions under foot but the team responded magnificently.
After the first of three laps, Joseph Comerford was in the lead group of five, closely followed by Louis Buttrick and Noah Bennett. The leading five dwindled down to three and the closing stages saw Joseph emerge in third place – a truly outstanding run. Louis Buttrick continued with his triathlon preparations to claim an outstanding 13th position with Noah closing in to finish in 16th. The scoring team was completed by Ibrahim Achi, Matthew Everett and Ethan Compton.
The team finished fourth team on the day and resulted in the club’s ever highest position as it claimed fourth overall over the whole series
