Rugby & Northampton AC senior men’s cross country turned in another outstanding performance in the second of the four Birmingham League cross country races, which was staged at Beltey Court, Crewe. From the off, the R & N athletes were towards the front of race, containing many high level athletes – spear-headed by the students of both Loughborough and Birmingham University.
Finlay Ward, again ran superbly throughout the six mile race, finishing in an excellent 6th position. Track specialist, Noah Bennett, had probably his best ever cross country race, as he finished in 15th position. The scoring six were completed by Ibrahim Achi, Matthew Everett, Louis Buttrick and Joe Comerford – with Dominic Evans and Malachi Collins just behind these scoring six. Birchfield Harriers raced to team victory with R & N finishing in 4th position – leaving R & N in 4th position after the first two races.
