UKA are putting on a Physical Preparation Workshop at Moulton College
This workshop focuses on how to improve mobility and movement. Coaches
will learn:
* How to conduct a series of Movement Screening exercises
* How to assess hamstring flexibility, ankle mobility and upper
spine mobility
* Appropriate interventions to address physical limitations
* How to use self-myofascial release
* How to use foam rollers and other tools
Additional practical activities will explore:
* Hurdle mobility drills
* Strength pattern progressions (such as squats, Bulgarian squats,
Romanian deadlifts, hip thrusts and more)
* Varying load using strength bands, medicine balls and powerbags
This is relevant for ALL coaches working with novices through to elite
athletes and from sprint and power events through to marathon runners.
