     Rugby & Northampton AC had a team of six ladies competing in the Vitality London 10000m road race on Bank Holiday Monday.

     Gabriella Moriarty was making her debut over the distance and was in excellent form to lead home the club in a time of 38 mins 36 secs, which placed her 59th in the Ladies race.

     Achieving a personal best was Lorna Latimer who covered the course in 42:50 for 184th spot and two places and one second behind was Angela Copson, which was a seasons best and clinched victory in the W65 category after two previous defeats over the distance this year.

     Helen Jones in her first 10k made the top 40 in the W45 age group in 47:33 to finish 410th overall while Kate Williams claimed 13th position amongst the over 55’s in 48:29 ( 476th ).

    Completing the squad was Minerva Chesser with a lifetime best of 49:10 ( 538th ).

    R&N also had two men taking part and another debutant over the 10k was 20 year old Elisha De Mello who recorded a time of 32:30 to finish in 47th place and knocking 45 secs off his personal best was Alistair McDonnell with 35:26 ( 194th overall ).
