     Elisha De Mello had a terrific run in the Banbury 5 mile road race to finish in 3rd place with a time of 26 mins 44secs. This gave the Rugby & Northampton athlete an easy victory in the U20 race and also helped the Mens team to clinch top spot on the night.

    Daniel Mould repeated his position from Corby the previous week to claim 12th position on 28:46 in this 5th race of the East Midlands Grand Prix.

    Crossing the line in exactly 29 mins was Alistair McDonnell in 15th place and one place and one second behind was M45 Iain Botheroyd who finished 3rd in the age group.

     John Gercs made a return to competition on his Birthday and he recorded 29:30 in 20th spot overall and 5th M45.

     The Veteran men were able to secure victory for the first time in the Series and completing the team were Nigel Roberts (M45 9th  in 30:55 )  and  Mike Andrews  (M40 10th in 32:21 ).

    Other notable performances from the R&N Senior Men came from Daniel Williams ( 26th in 30:04 ), Jamie Sinclair ( 34th in 30:39 ), Lewis Cherry ( 35th in 30:40 ) and Jonathan Burke (48th in 31:33 ).

     Both the Senior and Veteran Womens teams from the club finished in 3rd place and leading them home was Alison Cooper who won the F40 category by 11 seconds and was timed at 34:52 for 8th overall.

     Lorna Latimer finished in 17th place on 36:41 and closing off the teams were Helen Jones (F45 7th in 38:47 ) and Kate Williams ( F55  2nd in 38:50 ) who finished 35th and 36th respectively.

    Valerie Cross gained another 2nd  place in the F65 category with 52:41.
